Background
Dr. Hatzell will join the George Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering in the Fall of 2015. Prior to this appointment, she is completing a postdoctoral research fellowship in the department of Material Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In August 2014, she completed her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University as a NSF Graduate Research Fellow. She also received a M.Eng in Environmental engineering in 2014, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2010 and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 all from the Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on electrochemical systems for waste conversion, water treatment, and energy generation.
