The George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering will host Jean Marie Richardson as the 2023 speaker for the Women in Engineering Leadership Lecture Series. The event will take place on Thursday, October 12, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in MRDC 4211 and is open to the entire Georgia Tech community. The event will also be available virtually. Lunch will follow in the  MRDC 4th Floor Atrium at 12pm.

Jean Marie Richardson, a native Georgian and Georgia Tech alumna, MGT 2002, will share about the process building her company, iFOLIO, and key take-aways.  From the idea, the product, team & funding, to helping customers grow, to patents, audits, and service level agreements.

iFOLIO an Atlanta-based tech company, helps teams collaborate.  The digital platform has helped clients generate 300% growth through personalized digital marketing, and millions of dollars of increased sales annually.  Some of the world’s leading brands including Notre Dame, Madison Square Garden, Clemson University, the Texas Rangers MLB, Core Laboratories (Clb), Cadence Bank (Cade), and Georgia Tech Foundation use iFOLIO integrated marketing platform to deliver digital reports, and personalized customer experiences.

In July 2023, iFOLIO increased its valuation to nine figures in a raise led by John Brock, retired chairman of Coca Cola Enterprises (and Jacket), Brent Woodruff, Richard Bergmark, retired EVP and CFO of Core Laboratories (and Jacket), and other investors.  This came after a momentous year, growing sales, expanding into new markets, launching new products, and landing more patents in analytics.

Richardson has remained a active and dedicated Georgia Tech alumna, currently serving on the Georgia Tech Advisory Board to the President, and the Georgia Tech Athletics A.T. Board of Directors.

The Women in Engineering Leadership Lecture Series was established by Devesh Ranjan, Eugene C. Gwaltney, Jr. School Chair, and the Women of Woodruff (WoW), to give members of the Georgia Tech community the opportunity to network with talented female scholars and innovators in the field of engineering. The Woodruff School will host talks featuring notable women engineers who are creating a better future for our community — locally, nationally, and globally.
